首批“全国文明镇”之一唐山镇位于桓台县中部，寿济路横穿辖区，西邻滨博高速公路，交通发达，地理位置优越，辖区总面积43.6平方公里，人口3.8万。
唐山镇把发展作为强镇富民的第一要务，突出合力扶工和农业结构调整两大重点，全镇经济建设和各项社会事业都得到了快速健康发展。工业方面，形成了以化工、铸造、印刷、建材、建筑机械、高低压电器、纺织、农副产品加工等行业为主的多元化发展格局，规模以上工业企业达21家。其中，东岳、万鑫两家企业建成国家级企业集团，蠕墨铸铁公司建成省级企 业集团，鸿杰印务、炭素厂、思达电气、汇丰制丝、宝源化工、新盛食品等企业发展势头强劲。
唐山镇大力发展高效农业，全镇初步形成了速生丰产林、林木育苗、瓜菜生产、植桑养蚕、肉鸡饲养五大特色基地，汇丰制丝、新盛食品等十几家农产品加工企业成为带动当地农民致富的龙头企业。2005年，唐山镇顺利完成了万亩农业示范区综合开发项目，已建成旱能浇、涝能排、沟渠路林综合配套的生态农业示范区。
建筑业综合实力明显增强，形成了土建、地基基础、设备安装、装饰装修、路桥、房地产开发等专业配套、门类齐全、全方位经营的格局，小城镇建设也取得突破性进展。全镇三个文明建设健康协调发展，先后荣获中国乡镇之星、齐鲁乡镇之星、省级文明镇、省级精神文明示范点、平安山东建设先进乡镇、淄博市五好镇党委、全市经济强乡镇等称号。
